Terms and Conditions for Pirate Hooked Giveaway

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your participation in the Pirate Hooked Referral Challenge ("Challenge") offered by Pirate Hooked, a newsletter documenting the growth of the e-commerce business Hormones Are The Portal LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). By participating in the Challenge, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully.
The Challenge is open to individuals who are at least 18 years old at the time of entry and are subscribed to the Pirate Hooked newsletter at the time the $50,000 monthly revenue goal is achieved by Hormones Are The Portal LLC.
Employees, contractors, or affiliates of Pirate Hooked or Hormones Are The Portal, as well as their immediate family members (spouse, parents, siblings, children) and household members, are not eligible to participate.
The Challenge is void where prohibited by law.
Objective: When Hormones Are The Portal achieves $50,000 in gross product sales revenue in a single calendar month from its e-commerce store ("Revenue Goal"), we will award prizes to eligible Pirate Hooked newsletter subscribers based on their entries in the Challenge.
Prizes:
Grand Prize: One (1) winner, selected randomly from all eligible entries, will receive 1% of Hormones Are The Portal LLC’s gross product sales revenue (excluding newsletter, coaching, or other non-e-commerce revenue) for 12 consecutive months following the month the Revenue Goal is achieved ("Prize Period") and a 1:1 Strategy Session with Todd Gabler, founder of Pirate Hooked.
Top Referrer Prize: The participant with the highest number of valid referrals (no cap on referrals for this prize) will receive 1% of Hormones Are The Portal’s gross product sales revenue for 12 months during the Prize Period and a 1:1 Strategy Session with Todd Gabler, founder of Pirate Hooked.
Referral Milestone Reward: Each participant who achieves 10 valid referrals will receive a guaranteed 1:1 Strategy Session with Todd Gabler, founder of Pirate Hooked, regardless of raffle status.
Winner Selection:
The Grand Prize winner will be randomly selected from all eligible entries within 30 days after the Revenue Goal is achieved.
The Top Referrer will be determined based on the highest number of valid referrals tracked via Beehiiv’s referral system, with ties resolved by random selection.
Winners will be notified via the email address associated with their Pirate Hooked newsletter subscription.
Base Entry: Every active subscriber to the Pirate Hooked newsletter at the time the Revenue Goal is achieved by Hormones Are The Portal receives one (1) entry.
Early Subscriber Bonus:
First 500 subscribers: +10 bonus entries.
Subscribers 501–3,000: +5 bonus entries.
Subscribers 3,001–10,000: +2 bonus entries.
Referral Entries: Each valid referral earns three (3) entries, with a maximum of 10 referrals per participant for entry purposes (30 referral entries total). Referrals beyond 10 count toward the Top Referrer Prize but do not add additional entries for the Grand Prize raffle.
Maximum Entries for Grand Prize: A participant can earn up to 41 entries (1 base + 10 early subscriber bonus + 30 referral entries) for the Grand Prize raffle.
No purchase or payment is required to enter or win. Subscribing to the newsletter is free.
Multiple subscriptions using different email addresses by the same individual will be disqualified.
The Challenge begins on July 28, 2025, and ends when Hormones Are The Portal achieves $50,000 in gross product sales revenue in a single calendar month, as determined by our internal financial records.
If the Revenue Goal is not achieved, no prizes will be awarded, and the Challenge may be terminated at our sole discretion.
Grand Prize:
Revenue Share Component: 1% of Hormones Are The Portal’s gross product sales revenue (excluding newsletter, coaching, or other non-e-commerce revenue), paid monthly for 12 months during the Prize Period. The exact amount will vary based on monthly revenue.
Strategy Session: A 1:1 Strategy Session (approximately 60 minutes) with Todd Gabler, founder of Pirate Hooked, conducted via video call, focusing on business, marketing strategy, or customer journey.
Top Referrer Prize:
Revenue Share Component: 1% of Hormones Are The Portal’s gross product sales revenue (excluding newsletter, coaching, or other non-e-commerce revenue), paid monthly for 12 months during the Prize Period.
Strategy Session: A 1:1 Strategy Session (approximately 60 minutes) with Todd Gabler, founder of Pirate Hooked, conducted via video call.
Referral Milestone Reward:
A guaranteed 1:1 Strategy Session (approximately 60 minutes) with Todd Gabler, founder of Pirate Hooked, for each participant who achieves 10 valid referrals, conducted via video call.
Taxes: Winners are solely responsible for any federal, state, or local taxes applicable to the prizes. We will issue any required tax forms (e.g., IRS Form 1099) to winners.
Non-Transferable: Prizes are non-transferable, non-assignable, and cannot be redeemed for cash or other alternatives unless otherwise agreed by Pirate Hooked.
Winners will be notified via email within 30 days of achieving the Revenue Goal.
To claim a prize, winners must respond within 7 days of notification and provide requested information for verification, including proof of identity and eligibility.
If a winner does not respond within the specified period or is found ineligible, an alternate winner may be selected at our discretion for the Grand Prize or Top Referrer Prize. Referral Milestone Rewards are guaranteed for those meeting the 10-referral threshold and responding to notification.
Revenue Verification: The Revenue Goal achievement will be determined based on Hormones Are The Portal’s internal financial records of gross product sales, which are final and binding.
Payment Schedule:
Revenue share payments will begin within 30 days of the end of the month in which the Revenue Goal is achieved and continue monthly for 12 months, provided the winner remains eligible.
Strategy Sessions will be scheduled within 60 days of winner verification, subject to mutual availability.
Forfeiture: If a winner cannot be contacted, fails to provide required documentation, or is deemed ineligible, they will forfeit their prize, and an alternate winner may be selected for the Grand Prize or Top Referrer Prize.
Referrals are tracked using Beehiiv’s built-in referral system. Each participant receives a unique referral link upon subscribing to the Pirate Hooked newsletter.
A referral is considered valid when a new subscriber signs up using your unique referral link and remains an active subscriber at the time the Revenue Goal is achieved.
For the Grand Prize raffle, referral entries are capped at 10 referrals per participant (30 entries). For the Top Referrer Prize, there is no cap on referrals, and the participant with the most valid referrals wins.
Any attempt to manipulate the referral system (e.g., creating fake accounts) will result in disqualification.
No Liability: By participating, you release Pirate Hooked and Hormones Are The Portal from any liability arising from participation in the Challenge or acceptance of any prize, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Disqualification: We reserve the right to disqualify any participant who violates these Terms, provides false information, or attempts to manipulate the Challenge (e.g., through fraudulent referrals).
Modification or Termination: We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Challenge at any time without notice, including if the Revenue Goal is not achieved or due to unforeseen circumstances.
Data Privacy: Personal information collected for the Challenge (e.g., email address) will be used solely for administering the Challenge, contacting winners, and tracking referrals, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Governing Law: These Terms are governed by the laws of [Your State/Country, e.g., Delaware, USA]. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of [Your Jurisdiction].
By accepting any prize, winners grant Pirate Hooked and Hormones Are The Portal the right to use their name, likeness, and general details (e.g., “John from New York”) in promotional materials, including newsletter announcements, social media (e.g., TikTok, X), and other marketing channels, unless prohibited by law.

Note: Pirate Hooked reserves the right to verify all financial milestones, referral counts, and participant eligibility, and to interpret these Terms in its sole discretion. All decisions regarding the Challenge are final.
