My lovely co-captain (aka wife, aka Brook) and I will be working together.
She’s the visionary on this project (as you’ll see why).
I’ll be the one carrying out the plan.
What we are selling:
We decided to go the apparel route. I want to build this in a way that gives you NO EXCUSES not to be able to build something. Apparel accomplishes this. It’s saturated, but that’s no excuse (if you do it right).
Specifically, we will be selling hats to start. One-size fits all. Adjustable. Good margins.
What Niche?
Niche is key when starting a brand.
So we are targeting the fertility & cycle-conscious crowd.
We will dial in the exact messaging as the weeks go on.
We chose this because Brook has expertise in this area & it’s something that is already a part of our lives.

The week just started, but this is what I’ve done:
Set accounts up.
I set up SOOO many accounts. All part of the fun. I’ll include a list under the resources section below.
Branding
The highest leverage activity you can do is get crystal clear on your brand.
Your vision.
Your values.
Your mission.
Your messaging.
Your positioning.
Your BRANDING.
This is the main business focus for this week.

My primary plan to grow this business quickly & cheaply is via organic social media.
When building a business, you don’t have time to mess around.
So I need to find viral videos in my niche that we can use as a framework for virality.
I’m following Ava’s (@personalbrandlaunch) framework for this (will include link below)
I’m using the Chrome Extension “Sort Feed” to sort the most popular reels of similar brands or creators.
Then I’m noting the hooks and format in a table.

Playbook of the Week
The main resource we used for this week was Rob Bailey’s CCV Brand Book (link in resources).
This book goes through the brand’s high-level mission & values, as well as the details of the logo, colors, typography, etc.
LESSON FOR YOU TO APPLY:
No matter where you are in business, you NEED to establish your brand.
Use Rob’s Brand Book, or just have AI create you a list of 30 questions to dial in your branding.
