But those are only important if you do this 1 thing well.

Branding Is All About Positioning
In our discussion, there was 1 thing that stuck out.
Branding is about your position in the market.
But what does that even mean?
Simply put, it’s how you are perceived by your target customer.
If you don’t have the clarity on who you serve, you’ll never be able to speak to them in a way that resonates emotionally.
And emotional connection is what attracts people to your brand.
So if there is 1 thing that you can focus on, it would be to gain clarity on how you’ll position yourself in the market.
How To Clarify Your Positioning
These are the steps that I would take to clarify your positioning
Select A Niche
We’ve all heard this before. But that’s because it’s important.
Most brands fail because they try and sell something to everyone.
By selecting a product that only appeals to a small number of people, it attracts more of those people.
For this brand, we selected the niche: Female Cycles.
Research
Now that you’ve selected a niche, you need to research in that niche to figure out what they actually care about.
Research reddit threads, comment sections, facebook groups, google trends, etc.
Compile everything into a document.
Then upload into AI to find the most common themes, words, phrases, complaints and desires.
This gives you a head start of what goes viral, what people resonate with and what people are thinking about.
Clarify
Now you can start to gain clarity on your positioning and messaging.
With your niche selected & your research completed, you can start to craft a mission statement, company values & a message that deeply resonates with your audience.
Get CRYSTAL clear on this. It’ll take time. It’ll take work. But it’s worth it.
When the correct message hits. It hits. But until then, you’ll be fighting an uphill battle.
Make sure you build in story, emotion, & transformation.
